About VS-TrEx
TrEx stands for Traffic Exchange. It is supported on a Skeleton script, which is a Membership and Content Management Script. TrEx scripts have many unique features attached to the script itself. One of the most unusual services is called the Way Station. Way Stations allow the member to set up one site as a 'master' link (or engine) and then link other sites to the Main Link/Engine. This makes it so that whenever the Main Link is displayed in the surf window, it 'pulls' the other sites linked to it through the surf in sequetial order. This means that a member will have site 1 show on the surf, directly followed by site 2, and so on until the end of their train. At the end of the train, the surf moves on to the next eligible member with an eligible site in the Surf queue.
The ability for a member to tie in a banner to a specific website is another unique feature of this script. Members can tag a banner Exclusive and then tie it into one of their specific sites. This means the banner showing in the Surf Information Bar/Window will be one of their own, rather than someone else's banner. Another unique feature is that TrEx owners can very easily add in other services, called Modules to their trex script.
Backing everything up is outstanding email support and Live webinar support. Think about it. When was the last time you could sit down, live in a room, and talk to the script writer about the product? Ask a question about your script and how to get something to work? You can with the Varisearch TrEx traffic exchange script. Inaddition to the Live Support, Help Documentation is also being developed as an easy to use, hands-on reference guide for basic help in getting started with your TrEx Script. Those writing it are actual users of the TrEx Script. It is written both from actual hands-on-experience and from attending the Live Support Sessions Rich Parker conducts and listening to the answers he gives regarding all the topics addressed in the Help documentation (and then some.)
The TrEx script is a fully-customizable traffic exchange script that is available in three versions:
The full version TrEx script provides two (2) traffic exchanges: Regular Surf (autosurf) traffic exchange and Manual traffic exchange; and three (3) ad exchanges: text ad exchange, banner ad exchange, and mini banner ad exchange.
The Lite Version TrEx provides the two traffic exchanges and then your choice of one ad exchange.
An Ultimate TrEx version is available that includes up to 4 additional Skeleton Modules.
All TrEx scripts include the Private Email Module and can easily accomodate add-on services called Modules. Current Modules include the EP-Library, the VS-Twister, and a VS-Dir ffa and directory service. Future Modules will be Banner Elevator, Downline Builder, Safelist, and Block Ads.
TrEx traffic exchanges can be easily integrated into the VS-Ten network, which expands your member reach into a traffic exchange network of hundreds of other traffic exchanges. If you are new or start up exchange, integrating into VS-Ten expands the sites shown to your members. The TrEx script allows you to control every aspect of your traffic exchange, including customizing pre-existing pages and even creating more pages and menus and sub-menus. You can easily create zip files to store on your own computer which can be used to restore your script and traffic exchange in the case of catastrophic events.
Getting Started with your VS-TrEx traffic exchange script:
Once your TrEx script has been installed on your domain, you will want to log in to Core Controls to set up your preferences and customize your pages. Most every aspect of your traffic exchange is managed in Core Controls. Find all the Sections in the Top Menu. The major areas are: Settings, Member Work, Financial, Contact/Contests, Modules, Networking & New.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Everytime you use any of these Sections and set up or change any information, not only do you need to Save your work, you also need to do what is called a Load save TO live. It is highly recommended that you also do back ups. You can easily create backup files which you download and store on your own computer. In case of a catastrophic loss (such as a server failure), or when moving to a new server - you can easily restore your site. You will spend hours setting up, customizing, and managing your site. Do not rely on server backups or back up tapes. While Rich Parker can always re-install the trex script itself to a server, he CANNOT re-install YOUR settings and customizations. Make yourself back up files on a regular basis. It is easy and takes very little time. See the Load and Save - Backup help topic.
Member Work contains forms to manage Membership functions. There are nine (9) major sections: Member Levels, Check 4 Cheats, Manage Members, Manage Ads, Surfing Data, Way-Stations, URL & User Block, Complaint Forms, and Special Pages.
